SCENE NIGHT

Scene Night is a culmination of years of training—distilled into seven scenes from contemporary and classic plays, hand-selected and performed by Playhouse ATX actors.

At Playhouse ATX, our work is rooted in one core pursuit: “living truthfully under imaginary circumstances.”

What you will see is not “finished.”

Each actor is at a different stage of their training, approaching the work from different angles, different tools, different levels of risk. The result is an evening of experimentation, spontaneity, and raw human behavior unfolding in the moment.

This is live work on the edge:
unpredictable, vulnerable—sometimes tragic, sometimes hilarious, but at all times electric.
